About The Green Hammer -

Hi, I’m Jeremy Prong, founder of The Green Hammer and a premier kitchen and bathroom remodeling expert in Southwest Michigan.

What started over 30 years ago with tile work has grown into a full-service remodeling business specializing in stud-to-finish bathroom transformations. From zero-entry showers to heated tile floors and ADA-compliant upgrades, I bring both precision craftsmanship and modern solutions to every project.

I’ve earned my reputation by staying hands-on—no salespeople, no shortcuts. Just honest work, done right. I personally handle every step, whether it’s demo day or setting that final tile.

At The Green Hammer, I focus on quality over quantity. I’m here to be the local name people trust when it’s time to remodel the most personal spaces in their home.

Built with purpose-

My mission is simple: to build safe, beautiful, and functional bathrooms—with integrity, precision, and care.

Every project I take on is personal. Whether I’m creating an accessible space for aging in place or building a custom walk-in shower from scratch, I treat your home like it’s my own—no shortcuts, no compromises on materials, just solid craftsmanship that lasts.

My long-term goal is to be Southwest Michigan’s most trusted name in bathroom remodeling, known not for volume, but for quality, transparency, and the kind of work that makes clients say, “I wish I’d found you sooner.”

Meet the team-

Yep, it’s just me—Jeremy Prong. I’m the one on the left.
(The cute one on the right is my daughter—Quality Control Officer, unpaid.)

I’m the designer, demo crew, tile setter, project manager, secretary, and estimator all rolled into one. When you work with The Green Hammer, you’re getting 30+ years of experience on-site every day—not a revolving door of subs or high-pressure salespeople.

I don’t hand your job off—I personally handle every phase, from the first walkthrough to the final cleanup. And for the parts I don’t do myself—like plumbing or electrical—I work with a tight-knit network of licensed, reliable contractors I’ve trusted for years.

That means you don’t have to worry about tracking down someone off Facebook Marketplace or hoping your neighbor’s cousin “knows a guy.” I’ve already done the vetting.

Need help coordinating:

  • Plumbing and fixture installations

  • Electrical upgrades (lighting, outlets, heated floors)

  • HVAC or venting changes

  • Glass shower enclosure installs

  • Cabinet or countertop fabrication

  • Painting, drywall, or minor framing

If it’s part of the bathroom, I’ve got someone solid for it—and I’ll manage the timeline and coordination so you don’t have to.

That said... I’ll be honest—I get a lot of calls and voicemails about remodels, and I’m not always lightning-fast on the first reply. So don’t be shy about calling or texting twice—especially when you're trying to line up an estimate. The squeaky wheel gets the grout, as they say.

No gimmicks. No middlemen. Just one guy who gives a damn about doing it right.
